Take a mindful approach to creating your very own textile art
Slow Stitching is an intuitive, creative, and meditative practice that embraces the art of hand-stitching without a rush. It encourages mindfulness and creativity through the process of connecting fabric scraps with simple stitches, all while focusing on the joy of creation rather than the outcome. This course will explore the basics of slow stitching, allowing you to explore a range of textile arts using minimal tools. You’ll be guided to create your own unique pieces, using the art of slow stitching as a way to relax, reflect, and enjoy the tactile experience of working with fabric.
Slow Stitching with Deb will run for 4 consecutive Tuesday evenings here at the Crafty Peacock Studio. The Course tuition includes a small starter kit and you are encourged to brings lots of fabric scraps, lace trims, ribbons, buttons and more, to create your very own work of art. The finished fabric piece can be used for a variety of purposes, such as art, cushion, tote bag and more!
